"How many people will it serve?" is the first thing to settle before you order a cake. At Avon Cake we list cake sizes in inches, with an approximate number of servings next to each one. This guide puts our main sizes in one table, from a 2-inch mini cake for one to a 12-inch cake and two-tier cakes, and shows how to pick the right size for your guest list and which sizes need booking a day ahead.

- Servings are approximate. If a product page gives a different number, go with the product page.
- What does the inch measure? The width of the cake. One inch is about 2.5 cm, so a 4-inch cake is roughly 10 cm across, 6 inch about 15 cm, 8 inch about 20 cm and 12 inch about 30 cm.
Small cakes for one or two
2-inch mini cakes: for one
The Mini Heart Ring Box is a 2-inch cake for one person, close to the size of a cupcake. The Mini Ring Box is the same size, in white or grey. For a single chocolate treat, the Matilda Cake comes in an individual size.
4-inch lunch box cakes: for two
The Birthday Lunch Box is a 4-inch burger-box cake with a birthday drawing that serves two. Pick your filling and colour (white, baby blue or pink). Other designs come in the same size, such as the Lunch Box with Hearts.

Birthday cakes from 5 to 12 inches
Many of our birthday designs come in several sizes. You choose the size and filling from the product options, and the cake flavour (such as chocolate) on the product page:
- Garden Cake: flowers and butterflies, in 5 inch (3 people), 6 inch (4), 8 inch (6), 10 inch (8) and 12 inch (10).
- Glitter Cake: pearls, shimmering glitter and a crown, in the same 5- to 12-inch range.
- Delicacy Cake: a round white-cream cake with pink ribbons, 5 to 12 inch.
- Bracelet Box: a 5-inch cake box for 3, decorated with a candle.
- Crown Cake: one size, 6 inch for 4 people, with pearls and a crown.

Two-tier and double-height cakes
Two-tier: what do 2+4 and 4+6 mean?
The numbers are the two tiers: 2+4 is a 2-inch tier on top of a 4-inch tier. The Mini Two-Tier Cake, one of our most-ordered cakes, comes in pink in two sizes: 2+4 inch for 2–3 people and 4+6 inch for 5–6. A 6+8 inch two-tier serves about 9–10, and you'll find it on designs such as the Ghost Layers Cake.
Double height (x2)
When a size says "x2", the cake is twice as tall at the same width, so it serves more than a regular cake of that size. The Hat Cake is double height and comes in 6 inch x2 (7 people), 8 inch x2 (11) and 10 inch x2 (15). The Together Forever Cake starts at 5 inches x2 (5 people).
How to choose by number of guests
- 1 person: a 2-inch mini or a Matilda Cake.
- 2 people: a 4-inch lunch box or a 2+4 mini two-tier.
- 3–4 people: 5 inch (3) or 6 inch (4).
- 5–6 people: 8 inch (6) or a 4+6 two-tier.
- 7–8 people: 10 inch (8) or 6 inch double height (7).
- 9–10 people: 12 inch (10) or a 6+8 two-tier (9–10).
- 11–15 people: 8 inch double height (11) or 10 inch double height (15).
- More than that: order two cakes; a 12 inch plus an 8 inch serves about 16.

Do you sell cakes by the kilo?
Many people ask for a half-kilo or a one-kilo cake. At Avon Cake we sell cakes by size in inches, with approximate servings for each size, and we don't list weights. Rather than guess a weight that may not be accurate, count your guests and pick the size from the chart above.
Sizes to book a day ahead
- Regular sizes: can be booked for the same day while a delivery slot is open.
- Large sizes: 12 inch, 10×14, 11×21, square 6×8 and 12-inch heart must be booked at least the day before.
- Outside Riyadh: the morning slot must be booked by 11pm the day before.
- Vanilla cake flavour: order it a day ahead; it is available only in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.
- Delivery slots: 9am–2pm, 2pm–7pm and 7pm–midnight.
- Delivery: 29 SAR, free on orders from 300 SAR. You can also pick up from a branch in every city we serve except Unaizah. Full details on our delivery page.

About 1–2. A 4-inch lunch box cake, like the Birthday Lunch Box, serves 2.
How many people does a 5 inch cake serve?
About 3, for example the Bracelet Box or the 5-inch Garden Cake.
How many does a 6 inch or 8 inch cake serve?
A 6-inch cake serves about 4, and an 8-inch cake about 6.
Can I order a half-kilo or one-kilo cake?
We sell by inches, not weight. Choose by guest count: 6 inch for about 4 people, 8 inch for about 6.
Can I get a 12-inch cake on the same day?
No. 12 inch is a large size, so it must be booked at least the day before.
