Sometimes the cake you have in mind just doesn't exist yet: the colour you love, the shape that fits the occasion, the words you want to say. That's why we built Design Your Cake. You design your cake step by step, and we bake it for you. Here's how it works, plus ideas for every occasion and tips to get it exactly right.
Why design your own cake?
- One of a kind: your design, your colours, your words.
- Any occasion: birthdays, graduations, exam success, a new baby, anniversaries, retirement, or "welcome back".
- A personal touch: a name or a heartfelt message makes the gift unforgettable.
How to design your cake with Avon Cake
- Open Design Your Cake on our website.
- Pick the shape that suits your occasion. Round is a classic that fits most celebrations.
- Choose the colours: soft pink for a girls' party, blue for a baby boy, gold for an elegant graduation, or any colour you like.
- Add your touches: decorations and themes that complete the idea, such as birthday touches.
- Write your message: add the name or a short phrase from the heart.
- Choose delivery or branch pickup, depending on what's available in your city, then check out.
Custom cake ideas by occasion
| Occasion | Design idea | Message idea |
|---|---|---|
| Birthday | Favourite colour + name | "Happy Birthday, …" |
| Graduation | University colours or gold & black | "Congrats Grad!" |
| Exam success | Bright colours + name | "So proud of you, …" |
| New baby | Soft blue or pink | "Welcome, baby …" |
| Anniversary | Red or pink with hearts | "Another year with you" |
| Retirement | Calm, elegant colours | "Thank you for the years" |
Tip: short messages look clearer and prettier on a cake. Two to five words plus a name is ideal. Need inspiration? See our cake message ideas.
Tips for the perfect custom cake
- Stick to two harmonious colours. Simple often looks more luxurious.
